2027: Akume’s ex-DG, Amb. Tarzoor endorses Fr. Alia for second term

Date:

Erstwhile Director-General (DG), Sen. Akume Senatorial Campaign Organisation (2019) and former Ambassador to Namibia, Amb. Terhemen Tarzoor has endorsed Fr. Hyacinth Alia for a second term as Governor of Benue State.

Amb. Tarzoor, who disclosed this on Monday, October 27, at NUJ House, Makurdi, the state capital, said he finds immense joy and reassurance in seeing his aspirations reflected vividly in the visionary leadership of Fr. Alia. Amb. Tarzoor was the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the 2015 Benue Governorship election.

“Each time I visit our beloved state, I am inspired by the visible transformation taking place—from the remarkable urban renewal of our capital city to the spread of development projects across our rural communities. The renewed hope, the smiles, and the palpable satisfaction among our people speak volumes of a government working with sincerity, accountability, and a clear sense of purpose,” Amb. Tarzoor told journalists.

The former Ambassador to Namibia explained that he is persuaded that under Fr. Alia’s guidance, Benue State is on the path of genuine transformation to define its “history and shape a brighter, more prosperous future for generations to come.”

Amb. Tarzoor, therefore, said he is committed to standing with the governor in lending his “voice, resources, and every possible support—to ensure that the progress we are witnessing is sustained and expanded for the greater good of all.”
