Prof. Kohol visits Nigeria for ‘Thank You’ tour

Date:

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain from Ushongo Local Government Area (LGA), Benue State, and Regent College London Senior Lecturer, Dr. Kohol Shadrach Iornem, Professor of Business Management, has arrived in Nigeria for a “Thank You” tour of Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency.

Prof. Kohol, who was a candidate in the 2023 Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency election, was said to have lost the ballot due to the “Alia” factor, coming second in Ushongo after the APC candidate and beating the then incumbent.

According to the schedule of the visit obtained by TNT, Prof. Kohol will be at Adikpo, the headquarters of Kwande LGA, on Saturday, August 16, to thank the people of the Benue North East LGA for massively voting for him in the last election.

“We will be holding a Thanksgiving Service at NKST AKu on Sunday, August 17, to thank God and the people of Ushongo for their support to their son,” Prof. Kohol told TNT via mobile phone communication.

The APC chieftain explained that he will also be meeting with the Carataker Committee of APC in the state, Ushongo LGA, party stakeholders, opinion leaders, and professional groups during the visit.

There are feelers that the Ushongo-born will be contesting the Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency election in 2027.

It has been argued that it is the turn of Ushongo LGA, one of the two LGAs that comprise Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency, to produce a representative for the federal constituency “without any argument” in 2027.
