Date:

The duly nominated candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency election, Prof. Kohol Iornem, has said that he is duty-bound to defend his people’s mandate through lawful and democratic means.

Prof Kohol disclosed this in an address to the people of Kwande/Ushongo in the wake of attempts to overturn his nomination in the May 2026 primary election of the governing APC for Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency.

While thanking the people for their overwhelming support during the APC primary election, Prof Kohol said: “We will continue our consultations to ensure we win the general election and deliver the anticipated dividends of democracy to the good people of Kwande and Ushongo.”

According to Prof Kohol, the primary election has shown that he has a legion of loyal supporters who believe in his capacity to provide effective and purposeful representation.

“I want to assure you that every step we are taking is in the best interest of our people. We will continue our consultations to ensure we win the general election and deliver the anticipated dividends of democracy to the good people of Kwande and Ushongo,” the professor of Business Management stated.

He reiterated his support for the governor, Fr. Hyacinth Alia, and his commitment to continue working hard for the governor’s re-election for a second term under the APC.
