Fr. Alia declares June 11 work-free day for civil servants

Benue State Governor Fr. Hyacinth Alia has declared Thursday, June 11, as a work-free day for Benue civil servants to enable them to attend the burial of the late Head of Service (HoS), Dr. Moses Agbogbo Ode.

Dr Ode died on Saturday, May 2, following “a brief illness” and will be buried on Thursday, June 11.

The governor also announced that a government housing estate for civil servants will be named after the late HoS.

Top government functionaries, politicians, civil servants, and well-meaning people of the state are enjoined to attend his wake and burial.

Dr. Ode was appointed as the Benue State Head of Service on May 31, 2023, by Fr. Hyacinth Alia, Governor.
