MAKURDI – Mr. Atom Lim, the Personal Assistant (Programmes and Protocol) to former Nigerian President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has announced that Makurdi will soon be home to the premier recording studio in North Central Nigeria.
Chief Obasanjo visited the Benue State capital for a series of events at Mango World, including a Salsa night on Saturday, January 3, and Karaoke on Sunday, January 4.
Before departing Makurdi on January 5, the former president tasked Mr. Lim with expanding his investment portfolio to include “the studio and the amateur programme,” urging him to “be guided by them.” Chief Obasanjo also commended Mr. Lim for the “beautiful work” being done at Mango World.
“It is safe to say that Makurdi will soon have the best recording studio and producers in all of North Central Nigeria, excluding the FCT,” Mr. Lim stated in response to a formal letter from the former president.
“This wouldn’t have been possible without the tenacity of my brother, Austine Torkuma, and his talented team, especially those at Soundmine Chorale, including Erdoona Joy Kurudu, Lee Buah, Fidel, and others,” Lim added.
While receiving the former president last Saturday, Mr. Lim expressed the team’s delight: “We are honored to have His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, here at Mango World.”
Chief Obasanjo remains a significant stakeholder in the region’s economy, maintaining the largest mango plantation in Benue State despite a major fire that destroyed over three-quarters of the farm a few years ago.
