All Progressives Congress’ (APC’s) Prof Kohol Iornem has urged members of the public to disregard the mischievous fabrication by serial fake news merchants that he has deserted the governing party.
Fake news merchants on Benue Meta space have been circulating a false and misleading narrative alleging that Prof. Kohol and two other aspirants are leaving Governor Hyacinth Alia’s camp to join another political party.
According to a statement from the Prof Kohol Iornem Campaign Organisation, Prof Kohol remains a proud, loyal, and fully committed member of the APC.
The office described the claim as completely false, baseless, and a manifestation ot the handiwork of individuals whose stock-in-trade is the peddling of fake news and misinformation to deceive the public.
“He is steadfast in his support for the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia and is working tirelessly alongside other stakeholders to ensure the governor’s resounding re-election in 2027.
“We urge members of the public to disregard this mischievous fabrication. Those who choose to believe every rumour manufactured by serial fake news merchants do so at their own peril.
“The opposition may continue to spread propaganda, but they cannot alter the truth. Our focus remains on strengthening the APC and delivering victory for Governor Alia in 2027,” the statement explained.
