Former two-time Executive Chairman of Benue Internal Revenue Service (BIRS), Dr Andrew Terhemba Ayabam, has been elevated to the position of Head, Medium Tax, North, at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
Twice, Dr Ayabam had been chair at BIRS Makurdi, calm and collected, allowing his accomplishments to speak for themselves. He gave hundreds of jobs, shut out the doors to public funds scavengers, and contractors who take more from the people and put little into government coffers.
By his instant elevation, the tax czar sits over federal tax matters in Northern Nigeria, comprising 19 states.
The ace banker and tax administrator holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Economy.
Scores have taken to social media to congratulate the Ushongo-born on his elevation.
“This morning, my morning prayer was all for him. He will succeed again.
“Please, friends, join me in praying for the best in the new office.
“May he give his very best and employ when there is opportunity, like he always does,” Fr. Solomon Ukeyima, Dean Ikayongo Deanery, and Convener Kyegh Sha Shwa (KSS) prayed.
