The Management of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has called on farmers across the state to intensify the cultivation of white sorghum, cassava, and paddy rice in the coming cropping season.
Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, Group Managing Director (GMD) of the company made the call in a statement commending the people of the state “for their remarkable patronage of the Zeva Beer and Oyi Bitters during the festive season.” Zeva and Oyi Bitters are produced by the BIPC’s subsidiary, Zeva Brewery.
Dr. Asemakaha said BIPC will directly offtake the raw materials, thereby supporting local agriculture and guaranteeing a steady and reliable market for farmers.
According to Dr. Asemakaha, the investments being driven by the Benue State Government under the visionary leadership of Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia is deliberately targeted at creating an inclusive and sustainable economic future for our state.
“As Benue approaches its 50th anniversary in February, these investments are meant to guarantee the future of the state and secure lasting prosperity for generations to come.
“I also wish to disclose that full production at the juice factory is expected to commence in February, while verification and geo-fencing of farmland is already ongoing across the state to ensure efficiency and transparency.
“In conclusion, we pray for a prosperous 2026 with a better Economic Outlook Growth of 3.8% for Benue State and reaffirm our unwavering commitment,” Dr. Asemakaha said, adding that BIPC and its board are poised “to drive investments that will improve livelihoods, create jobs, and strengthen the economy of our state.”
