Benue council chair dedicates court victory to Ushongo people

Date:

The Chairman of Ushongo Local Government Council (LGC), Mr. Terkimbi Adzu, has dedicated his victory at the Benue Local Government (LG) Elections Appeal Tribunal to the people of Ushongo Local Government Area (LGA), who voted him into office.

Mr. Adzu was elected Ushongo LGC Chairman last year but has faced litigation, with the appellate tribunal in LG elections in the state affirming his election on Tuesday, June 3.

“We humbly dedicate these victories to the Ushongo people. Your votes counted and are still counting,” Mr. Adzu said after the appeal tribunal affirmed his election.

His election was affirmed alongside elected local legislatures in Ushongo LGA.

“We extend branches of olive to all willing parties. Ushongo is more than select individuals and our bloated egos.

“We are Ushongo, and together, let us build it to an enviable place, my Ushongo brothers and sisters,” the Chairman said.
