The body of Wantaregh Paul Unongo, OFR, second republic minister, is due to land at the civil wing of the Nigeria Airforce airfield in Makurdi, the Benue State capital at 11:00am, this morning. He died on 29th November, 2022 and will be buried this Saturday, after two years and one day.
Dr. Bem Ugoh, a political economist, says it’s characteristic of how Wantaregh Unongo honoured the dead.
According to a statement by a publicity subcommittee for the burial, the Governor of Benue State, Fr. Hyacinth Alia, will receive the body at Government House Makurdi “at 11:30am, for an Executive Session with Excecutive members and selected stakeholders from within Benue and outside” the state.
Later at 2:30pm, there will be tribute and celebration of life of the deceased, at Ibrahim Babangida Square Makurdi.
