Ter Tyôshin and Chairman, Gwer West Area Traditional Council, HRH Daniel Abomtse, has sent a strong-worded note of caution to former Benue State Governor, Chief Samuel Ortom, to make good of his threats to sue him or stay away from him if he is against Fr. Hyacinth Alia, Executive Governor of Benue State.
HRH Abomtse was heard in a video, declaring “No Alia No Benue,” as he placed his hand on the back of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Benue State on Youth Organisation and Illegal Levies, Mr Terver Gbenda, when Mr Gbenda visited him at his Palace in Naka, Gwer West Local Government Area (LGA) headquarters. The video went viral on social media, with some commenters urging the Royal Father to take the role of Campaign Director General of Fr. Hyacinth Alia, Executive of Benue State.
In a swift response, though, HRH Abomtse said he was not afraid of anybody and that his support for the governor has no “duplicate.”
“I am sending this note of warning to Ortom. If the time has come for us to wash our dirty linens in public, let him come out. I have nothing to be afraid of.
“For the avoidance of doubt, I am supporting (Fr) Alia wholeheartedly; there are no two ways about that. If you don’t like (Fr) Alia, don’t visit me; I don’t need you.
“I am no longer young to shy away from speaking up if I see evil in Tivland. For too long, these people have held us backwards, and they cannot be allowed to continue. I am saying this because it is appointed to a man to die once. I have had all the good things of life. If death were to come knocking, I would gladly answer the call.
“Whoever wishes to contend with me should come out; let’s slug it out. I am not afraid of it. If Terver Gbenda comes here 30 times, I will bless him and shout ‘No Alia no Benue’ because that is his slogan of greetings. Whoever is unhappy should come forward and challenge me; let’s sort it out ourselves. I am not afraid of anybody. People should stop evil in this land,” the royal father warned.
According to Ter Tyôshin, Fr. “Alia has good intention to develop this land. Whoever wishes to contend with (Fr) Alia should get set” because “there is no more time to be afraid of people in Tivland.
“We have suffered enough in the hands of others. Whoever is not friends with truth has truth to contend with. It’s the era of the truth, and so all evil will have to give way.”
