TNT APPOINTS EDITOR

The management of The New Times and Press International has approved the appointment of Denen Achussah, as Editor, The New Times (TNT). The appointment is part of efforts to reposition the newspaper for the achievement of the ideals for which it was established.

Denen, 42, is a multi-media and conflict sensitive journalist, with over a decade experience in investigative journalism.

He was trained for Multi-Media Reporting by the Daily Trust Foundation with support from McArthur Foundation, Investigative Journalism by National Record with support from the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism and Common Ground Journalism Training by the Search Team.

News, analysis and interviews by Denen are published in several community newspapers as well as online media platforms. Some of the online platforms include ThisWeek, OperaNews, The Voice and National Record.

Denen has strong desire and commitment for community development. The 2021 Real Newsline News Reporter of the year has in recent times, engaged in frequent travels to Benue rural areas and markets, reporting on agriculture and life in the villages. With The experience acquired over time in rural settings, Denen envisions “Eat Right Campaign,” which targets improving eating habit in rural areas of his home state.

The TNT’s Editor is also the 2022 winner of Social Media Digest Summit Award as “Advocate of Economic Prosperity at the Grassroots.”
