A member of the Tinubu/Alia Campaign Councik, Prof. Kohol Iornem has urged students of Kwande/Ushongo extraction to support Fr. Hyacinth Alia’s re-election bid in 2027, citing what he described as ongoing infrastructural and human capital development in Benue State.
Prof. Kohol made the call while addressing members of the Kwande/Ushongo Students Association (KUSA), where he shared his leadership experiences at home and abroad.
He described Fr. Alia’s administration as committed to development, arguing that the governor’s initiatives should be sustained through a second term.
The APC House of Representatives aspirant also urged Benue residents to support the governor, insisting that development required deliberate leadership and active followership.
On his political ambition, Prof. Kohol said he won the APC primaries for Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency and that INEC confirmed his victory, but his name was subsequently substituted.
He disclosed that he was challenging the substitution in court, expressing confidence that justice would be served and that he would eventually appear on the ballot in 2027.
