The Benue State Commissioner of Police, CP Cletus Nwadiogbu, has taken his security familiarisation tour to Buruku, Tarka and Konshisha Local Government Areas (LGAs), seeking stronger community collaboration to tackle insecurity.
CP Nwadiogbu visited Buruku and Tarka on November 4 and Konshisha on November 5, where he met local government chairmen, traditional rulers, youth leaders and heads of security agencies.
He urged residents to provide timely and credible intelligence to security agencies, stressing that public cooperation was critical to effective policing and crime prevention.
The CP also directed Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to ensure prompt response to security threats, discipline among personnel and respect for citizens’ rights.
He warned officers against harassment, misconduct, incivility and other unprofessional practices, insisting that such behaviour would not be tolerated.
The tour, according to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Orchia Peter Aondongu, is aimed at strengthening grassroots security partnerships and promoting intelligence-led policing across the state.
