Day Prof. Angwe endorsed for the 2027 Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency job

Date:

The All Progressives Congress (APC) structure in Mbayion, Gboko Local Government Area (LGA), Benue State, on Tuesday, January 10, made a solemn resolve: To project and win support for Prof. Bem Angwe to represent Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency in 2027.

Prof. Angwe, university teacher and administrator, is the Caretaker Secretary of APC, Benue State, who previously served as Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and as Chairman of the National Board for Technical Education (NABTEB).

Led by Elder Atsenda Ishwa, the elders of the party, stakeholders, and party Executives from the seven Council Wards of Mbayion endorsed Prof. Angwe as their choice for the Federal Constituency seat as the 2027 general elections draw nearer. They converged at his Gboko residence, where the decision was reached.

Elder Atsenda Ishwa, who took the assembly back to memory lane, informed that there was no better way to give Fr. Hyacinth Alia administration the support it deserves than rallying support for Prof. Angwe to go to the House of Representatives.

He explained that the stabilising impact the former Human Rights boss has brought to bear in activities of the broom party in the state attests to his commitment to supporting the governor to succeed and invited the people to welcome Prof. Angwe for the House of Representatives Gboko/Tarka 2027 project as a clarion call to service by those whose desire is to see the governor succeed.

Elder Atsenda Ishwa, therefore, implored the people to put aside individual differences and embrace the project the same way they do for Fr. Alia’s project.

While speaker after speaker alluded to the project’s expediency, Prof. Angwe sat listening and taking notes. To speakers like Gavar, the antecedents of Prof. Angwe have said it all about his person: An unassuming personality who plants good seedlings that have borne fruit. To Gavar, it would be uncharitable, not supporting Prof. Angwe, as the same would imply having no regard for past good deeds.

Hon. John Hyembe was categorical: The Prof. Angwe 2027 project was one whose time had come. He was pleased that the Mbayion wing of APC had seen fit to initiate a project that would contribute to APC’s greater success in 2027.

The assembly resolved to immediately constitute working teams at ward levels to spread the message of hope with the sole aim of actualising the project.

Prof Angwe was elated. He informed that perhaps, the trust was the reason God spared his life in two separate gun attacks – once in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and the second time at a service station in Gboko, where he sustained gun injuries.

“It never occurred to me that I am worthy of this responsibility and the trust you have reposed in me. However, because you willed, I am available,” Prof. Angwe told the assembly.

The Benue APC chief scribe is confident that God would show His hand in the project. He thanked the people for trusting him to take the lead amongst them.

Prior to the Tuesday endorsement, the Elders and Community Leaders in Mbakpoughur in Mbatyu Council Ward endorsed Prof. Angwe for the 2027 Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency elections
