Lobi Stars suspend coach Mohammed over ‘poor performances’

Date:

The Interim Management Committee of Lobi Stars Football Club has handed the club’s Technical Adviser, Abubakar Bala Mohammed, an indefinite suspension.

Lobi Stars have played six games in the Nigeria National League (NNL), earning seven points out of a possible 18, and are placed sixth out of eight clubs.

Mr. Emmanuel Terwase Uja, Lobi Stars’ Director of Media and Communications, said in a statement that the decision to suspend coach Mohammed followed a resolution reached at an emergency management meeting of the club on Monday, December 15.

“The management cited poor performance as the reason for the suspension,” the statement said.

According to the statement, the suspended technical adviser has been directed to hand over to the club’s chief coach, John Onuh (Abacha), with immediate effect.
