The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2027 Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency election, Prof Kohol Iornem, has praised Mr Stephen Uta, Executive Secretary of Mines and Solid Minerals in Benue State, for his acts of benevolence.
Earlier in the week, Prof. Kohol was at Adikpo, Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency headquarters, in the company of Mr Uta, to appreciate the youth for their support in the just-concluded APC House of Representatives primaries.
“Uta is a young man who is positively touching the lives of his people,” Prof. Kohol stated. Mr. Uta has become popular, particularly amongst women and youth, since coming to the limelight as the solid minerals boss.
The Kwande-born contested the APC Senatorial ticket for Benue North East. He announced his withdrawal from the race a day before the primary election.
Meanwhile, Prof. Kohol has reiterated his commitment not to disappoint the people of Kwande/Ushongo.
Referring to the party faithful who turned out to vote for him, Prof Kohol said: “These are the people we cannot afford to disappoint. These people sacrificed their time. They resisted short-term, immediate gratification.
“They stayed late until they exercised their franchise, and the outcome of the primaries confirms that they have the power to change their destinies. They suffered, yet they are smiling because they see hope in the Kohol Nen Alia Asortar movement.
“Kwande/Ushongo deserve the best!”
