The wife of former Benue State Governor, Dr Eunice Ortom, has obtained Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms to contest the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ticket for the 2017 Benue North West Senatorial District (Zone B) election.
Last week, PDP stakeholders from Lobi and Gwer adopted and presented Dr Eunice as their consensus candidate.
Dr Eunice told supporters in Makurdi that her friends and political associates contributed financially to secure the forms on her behalf.
According to the former Benue First Lady, persistent calls from friends, political allies, and various groups have compelled her to contest the election.
Dr Eunice said she was relying on their continued support to win the election and deliver democracy dividends to the people of Zone B.
