A group known as Aber for Progress and Change has purchased the All Progressives Congress (APC) Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms for ACG Aber Benjamin Terseer (retd) to contest the Benue North West Senatorial District (Zone B) election on account of his exemplary service.
ACG Aber (retd), described by many as a man of tested integrity, proven competence, and an uncommon development vision, is the spouse of the Secretary to the Benue State Government (SSG), Deborah Aber, Esq.
Arch Ivse Igbo, Coordinator of Aber for Progress and Change, says they have seen in the retired Customs officer someone who will pay attention to and address the challenges of the people of Zone B.
Leaders of thought and party from Gwer East, including Dr Tsetim Ayar Gwer, Mr Thomas Iorliam Iti, Mr Godwin Aliebo, Mr Terungwa Shanna, and the Gwer East Deputy Chairman, Mr Orseer Tor, were excited that the group had thought it wise to purchase forms for one of their own to represent Zone B at the Senate of the National Assembly come 2027.
They all committed the project to prayer, saying collectively that they will work for its actualisation.
ACG Aber (retd) says he will not disappoint the people if they support him in his bid to win a Senate seat.
He assured that as he has not put his people to shame, even while in the military service, they will not know shame now that he is up to represent them in legislative governance.
“I am here today because it is the making of God. I have been living a quiet life after retirement. But I have been prompted, and these young people, the people I helped while still in service, said they would pick the forms for me. That’s what they have done. And I said, “Let them bring it here so that you will see that I’ve not put you to shame while I was out there working,” ACG Aber (retd) told his people.
“I am assuring you that in these seven LGAs (that comprise Zone B), I will get people who will work for our Senatorial District. I will be accessible. I will not disappoint you because I know exactly what a senator can do.
“I know that you have a lot of young people who are hungry and want to grow. So, I am here to help young women and people who have been neglected. I’m not going there for myself but for the people of Zone B. I am here to support my governor so that Benue will be greater,” ACG Aber (retd) said, stating that he is making the promises in the presence of God and the people.
ACG Aber is said to be a disciplined public servant, a reform-minded leader, a mentor to youth, a believer in women’s empowerment, whose life has been shaped by hard work, honesty, humility, public service, and the fear of God.
