Ayabam emerges Benue NIPR Secretary

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Benue State Chapter, has elected Dr. Bibiana Ayabam as General Secretary.

NIPR was established in 1963 and attained the status of a Chartered Institute in June 1990 through Decree No. 16 (now an Act of the National Assembly, cited as CAP n114 laws of the Federation of Nigeria LFN2004) from which it derives the power and responsibility to register members, set parameters of knowledge to acquire to qualify to practise, regulate the practice and development of the PR Profession as well monitor professional conducts through an established Code of Ethics, amongst others.

Dr. Ayabam, the Acting Information and Public Relations Officer in the Directorate of Information, Protocol and Public Relations at Reverend Father Moses Orshio Adasu University Makurdi (MOAUM), was elected Secretary during the Chapter’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Wednesday, 15th April 2026, at the Makurdi Club 1930 Hall alongside other Executive Committee members.

Other executive members are Dr. Philip Toryue, Chairman; Tor Noah, Vice-Chairman; Ngusha Aondoakaa, Assistant General Secretary/ICT Officer; Cyprian Terhemba Gbasha; Public Relations Officer; Wombo Sylvia, Treasurer; Joy Abuul, Welfare Officer; and Wilfred Nyajo Auditor.

Dr. Toryue, the Chairman, has appealed for the cooperation and support of members to enable the Executive Committee to effectively deliver on its mandate.
