2027: Another Benue APC gubernatorial aspirant dumps party

Date:

Another All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant in Benue State, Prof. Sebastine Hon, SAN, on Monday, April 6, announced resignation from membership of the broom party.

Prof. Hon, SAN, was enrolled as a member of APC in his Mbatan Council Ward, Gboko Local Government Area (LGA), on Thursday, January 29.

His resignation brings the number of gubernatorial aspirants on “strategic partnership” to have formally dumped APC to two, after Chief Mike Aondoakaa, SAN.

TNT learnt that the two may not be the only ones to leave APC, in view of the growing grip of the incumbent Governor, Fr. Hyacinth Alia, on the party. Others, including Dr Jeffrey Kuraun and Mr Godwin Ityoachimin, are said to have consulted the leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue, Chief Samuel Ortom.

In a letter of resignation he personally signed, Prof. Hon, SAN, cited “personal reasons” for his resignation.
