Benue State Governor, Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has inaugurated the coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors from the 23 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state and the zonal coordinators.
The governor, who performed the exercise during the renewed hope enlightenment engagement in Makurdi, the state capital, charged the coordinators to bring more people to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ensure the party’s victory in the 2027 elections.
He urged the coordinators to consider their appointments as a privilege and opportunity to take leadership at the local government level.
“Don’t insult, don’t fight, let us at all times try to be civil. Let’s try to reconcile others, and everybody who wants development will join hands with us,” the governor charged.
Speaking about his success story in the state, Fr. Alia said all the bad roads in the state will be fixed, assuring that his government would do more than what the people are witnessing
“Things were not moving, and we came to get them moving,” Fr. Alia said while indicating that he will clear arrears of salaries and pensions he inherited before the end of May this year.
Earlier in his speech, the State Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Ambassador Terhemen Tarzoor, commended the governor for making their work easier through his stellar performance in office over the past 2.5 years.
While thanking the coordinators for accepting to work for the Renewed Hope mandate, Ambassador Tarzoor urged them to work assiduously to ensure the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) and Fr Alia in 2027.
