The Nation journalist Uja tasks Christians to pray for leaders

The Nationhe Benue State Correspondent and Media Director of Lobi Stars Football Club, Mr Uja Emmanuel, has charged Christians to keep praying for leaders.

Mr. Uja, who gave the charge during the one-year memorial of his mother at St. Juliana’s Tse-Asor, Ayilamo, Logo Local Government Area (LGA), said their prayers are needed to enable leaders to tackle challenges confronting the people, including insecurity.

His mother passed on Friday, March 14, 2025, aged 85 years.

Mr Uja said she left behind a legacy of love, strength, and wisdom that will be cherished forever.

Earlier in his celebration of mass, Deacon Matthew Mfeuter Kogi, charged Christians to imbibe the virtues of love, compassion, and forgiveness as exemplified by Christ, whose death the Christian Community is observing.

The Chairman of Laity Council, Ikyule Parish, Mr Ikyereve Samuel, commended Mr Uja for his support for the church, saying they will specially honour him for his contributions to the growth of good news.
