Prof. Iornem announces free education in Gboko, Zaki Biam, others

Date:

Fresh students entering schools under the management of the New Idea Commonwealth Education Group will enjoy free education effective August 2025, Prof. David Iornem, Group President, has announced.

The schools are Iornem Nyagba Zeka College Gboko, Commonwealth Academy, Gboko Hills, JF Kennedy International School, Gboko, MEKTAN International College Gboko, Commonwealth Wealth International Academy, Tine Nune Zaki Biam, NKST Mayange Primary and Secondary School, Mayange, and St. Paul’s Primary School and College, Tse Nyagba. All the schools have classes for nursery, basic education, and senior school.

All students entering the aforementioned schools will not pay any fees for the first term. “This is a bonus to parents and students,” Prof. Iornem said in a statement made available to TNT.

The schools also welcome transfers from other schools.

According to Prof. Iornem, New Idea Commonwealth Education Group is “doing this to make sure that all children who are out of school because of financial difficulties will go back to school without any hindrance.”

However, the offer is limited to one term, whether the first or second term, depending on when your child is enrolled.

“This offer of free education is only for one term. When your children are coming back in January 2026, they will be expected to pay school fees so that the New Idea Commonwealth Education Group will have money to pay teachers and to look after other expenses that a school usually needs to pay for.

“But there is good news. Our fees will be lower than any school operating in Gboko, Zaki Biam, or any of our school locations,” Prof. Iornem explained.

TNT understands that the New Idea Commonwealth Education Group has over 100 graduate teachers.

“Our goal is to deliver quality education to all our students, so they are knowledgeable, self-confident, and educationally mature as they leave Secondary School. Our students are not interested in examination malpractice that miracle centres conduct,” the New Idea Commonwealth Education Group President further explained.

“We have seen all that there is to see in education. We have decided to give back to society. We will give you the best. No half measures,” Prof. Iornem assured.

TNT further understands that admission is underway, and you can contact any of the schools for your child.
