Students from Sora Heights Gboko, Benue State are among some of the highest scoring 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Mr. Adue Nder, the principal of Sora Heights, told TNT via WhatsApp that their students excelled in the 2025 UTME.
63 students from the school sat for the examination, and nine scored above 300 points, while 49 scored 200 and above.
Nationwide, about 80 per cent of candidates who sat for the 2025 UTME scored less than 200 points out of the 400 maximum points. The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says it will review the results following what it described as “unusual complaints.”
Mr. Adue, while confirming the results, said, “God is on our side, our kids did well.”
Naswem Joy Doose, who sat for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English Language, scored 369 points to come top of her school, while Iorlamen Uhemba Peter (Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English Language), and Okechukwu Wisdom Chinonso (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English Language) scored 341 each.
