On Sunday, June 14, Barr. Oscar Terhemen and Dr Rhoda Aorabee returned to God at NKST Vor, Makurdi, in thanksgiving to mark their 20th wedding anniversary and their first child’s 10th birthday.
The couple have been married for 20 years and welcomed their first child only when they were 10 years into their marriage.
Aorabee told the congregation that they had only three intangible things when they started: Love, faith, and hope.
“The only tangible things we had were friends and family,” he said, adding that in the course of time, God has given them more and the reason they have come before God with thanksgiving.
According to Dr Rhoda, their 20 years of marriage are marked by forgiveness, tolerance, patience, and loving each other with the love of Christ.
Rev. P. G. Azuana, during the service, urged Christians to remember God and to always go to him with thanksgiving, as a show of gratitude and appreciation for the good things he has done for them.
Dr Rhoda’s book, The New Christmas Day, was launched after the church service.
