Former Justice Minister, Aondoakaa, resigns from APC, joins PDP

Former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Chief Mike Aondoakaa, SAN, has announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In the second week of March, Chief Aondoakaa, SAN, attended the expanded caucus meeting of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Makurdi. In this state capital, he indicated that he was returning to the umbrella party. “If your son is on sojourn and is always visiting home (PDP), you should know he wants to come back. And for over two years, I have been visiting home (PDP),” he told the meeting.

The former AGF, in a statement issued on Sunday, March 29, said he has decided to dump the APC after “careful reflection and wide consultations” with his family, political associates, and supporters.

No reason was advanced for his decision.

The former AGF called on his supporters and associates to remain calm, peaceful, and steadfast.

He was sighted at the PDP national convention alongside Chief Sebastine Hon, SAN (APC), another member of the “strategic partnership” in Benue State.

One of Prof Hon’s aides, who would not want his name in print, told TNT that Chief Hon, SAN, attended the meeting as an observer.
