A Federal High Court sitting in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, and presided over by Honourable Justice Joshua Raphael Egbe, says parties will be contacted for judgment in a matter seeking the restoration of four suppressed Constituencies in Kwande Local Government Area (LGA), Benue State, in a jiffy.
Mr. Joseph Boko, Barr. Aondoaseer Ayamekaa, Dr Tavershima Anumve, and Dr Aondoakaa Asambe (Plaintiffs) have collectively approached the court, seeking the restoration of the suppressed Turan, Ikyurav-Ya, Nanev, and Shangev-Ya State Constituencies.
Justice Egbe issued the order when the court convened on Wednesday, June 24, the date earlier reserved for judgment.
June 24 was earlier set as the judgment date after the parties’ written addresses were adopted on April 29.
Justice Egbe regretted the shift in the date and assured that the written judgment would be ready soon and that a new date would be communicated.
Dr Asambe told TNT, after the matter was adjourned, that he was confident the court would agree with the erudite submission of their lead counsel, Terkura Pepe, SAN, and order the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to restore the constituencies.
