Frontline aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the 2027 Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency election, Prof. Kohol Iornem has congratulated Fr. Hyacinth Alia, Governor of Benue State, for attaining 60 years of age.
Fr. Alia turned 60 on Friday, May 15. He was born on May 15, 1966, and hails from Mbadede Council Ward, Vandeikya Local Government Area (LGA), Benue State.
Ordained a priest of the Catholic church in 1990, Fr. Alia was elected Governor of Benue State in 2023, aged 57, and sworn in on May 29, 2023.
Prof Kohol, in the congratulatory message to the governor, says Benue State is already reaping the benefits of his good works.
“Your leadership is yielding positive results, and the people are ready to show their gratitude in 2027,” says Prof Kohol, who will be on the ballot on Saturday, May 16.
The governor says in his birthday message that he was “building a state that works for everyone; stronger institutions, better opportunities, and a future our children can be proud of.”
