Benue Traditional rulers’ letter to Tinubu AI-generated – Royal Adviser

Date:

The purported letter by the Benue State Council of Traditional Rulers addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) is Artificial Intelligence (AI) generated.

It has emerged (not from TNT) that His Eminence Prof James Ortese Iorzua Ayatse, Tor Tiv and Chairman Benue State Council of Traditional Rulers and His Royal Majesty Elaigwu John, Och’Idoma and Vice Chairman Benue State Council of Traditional Rulers have jointly signed a letter to the President titled “Appeal for the maintenance of political stability and continuity.”

However, the Royal Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Fredrick Adamgbe, has told TNT that the letter is AI-generated.

In this era of AI, every piece of information must be scrutinised lest one is guilty of circulating false and misleading information, Mr Adamgbe went on.

Many social media commentators are criticising the two paramount rulers over the content of the letter, saying it amounts to descending into the political arena.

Mr Yila Moses of The Voice newspaper believes the letter is fake and was written by someone impersonating the Tor Tiv.

“The Tor Tiv Prof. James Ortese Ayatse that I know won’t stoop so low to engage in political affairs in Benue state to that extent, since he is very much aware of the Benue state chieftaincy law,” Mr Yila argued.
