The All Progressives Congress (APC) frontline aspirant for 2027 Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency, Prof. Kohol Shadrach Iornem, on Saturday, April 4, joined forces with the Executive Secretary, Bureau of Mines and Solid Minerals, Mr. Uta Stephen Aondona, to canvass support for the re-election of Fr. Hyacinth Alia as Governor of Benue State for a second term.
Prof. Kohol had accompanied the Mines and Solod Minerals boss to Adikpo, Kwande Local Government Area (LGA), where Mr. Uta presented his scorecard to the good people of Kwande, outlining key milestones and impactful strides recorded under his stewardship.
In his interactions with the people, Prof. Iornem reiterated his steadfast support for Governor Alia’s administration and called for sustained unity among the people of Kwande as a pathway to greater political relevance and accelerated development.
Prof. Kohol, who called on existing APC members who have yet to revalidate their membership through the e-registration platform, implored them to do so. He also encouraged more people to register with the APC and stand a chance to nominate the governor for a second term.
The Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency hopeful also commended Mr. Uta for his transparency and accountability, describing the scorecard presentation as a testament to responsive governance.
A statement from the Prof. Kohol Iornem Media and Communications Directorate says the event drew an impressive crowd of political stakeholders, government appointees (past and present), opinion leaders, civil servants, business elites, as well as vibrant women and youth groups from across Nanev, Shangev-ya, Ikyurav-ya, and Turan clans, underscoring the widespread acceptance of both Governor Alia’s leadership and the rising political momentum of Prof. Kohol Iornem.
