Day Fr. Alia’s Konshisha Pointman, Tsar consulted maternal home, received blessings to represent Vandeikya/Konshisha

It was all merriment and praises, when renowned Benue State APC chieftain and a top political strategist to the Governor of Benue State, Dr. Livinus Adzer Tsar, visited his maternal home in Tse-Agershio, Mbakuha Council Ward of Ushongo Local Government Area (LGA).

Dr. Tsar had visited his maternal home to consult and receive their blessing to pursue his ambition to represent Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, effective 2027.

The 2027 Vandeikya/Konshisha hopeful, hails from Gaav in Konshisha LGA but spent a significant part of his early years in his maternal home — Tse-Agershio Zeka, in Mbakuha.

In his brief address, Dr. Tsar, humbly asked his maternal family to grant him their approval and offer prayers for success if they deemed him worthy to embark on the House of Representatives campaign. He also reaffirmed his resolve to solidly stand by the governor of Benue State, Fr. Hyacinth Alia.

Furthermore, the Konshisha Pointman urged the entire community to support and vote only those who are in progressive alignment with the Governor of Benue State, Fr. Hyacinth Alia, come 2027. He therefore, presented to the public, Prof. Kohol Shadrack Iornem, who is from the Zeka village and is contesting to represent Kwande/Ushongo in the House of Representatives come 2027, as one of such persons.

Speaking on behalf of the Konshisha delegation, Hon. Ayom Mar commended the people of Mbakuha for their warm reception, describing it as a testament to their desire for the success of their sons. He affirmed that stakeholders in Konshisha have not only endorsed Dr. Tsar’s aspiration but are fully committed to supporting his victory at the polls.

The Tyoor Mbakuha, HRH Dominic Anchile Gogo, in his response, praised Dr. Tsar for his unwavering connection to his maternal roots. He described him as a son who has remained committed to his people regardless of his political status, noting his consistent presence during both celebratory and challenging times.

Tyoor Gogo expressed confidence that Dr. Tsar’s emergence as a member of the House of Representatives would attract greater development to the community.

In a vote of thanks Prof. David Iornem, one of the elders of the Zeka family and a Second Republic Senator, lauded Dr. Tsar for his enduring support to his maternal home and recounted his humble upbringing, while expressing pride in his achievements.

Prof. Iornem highlighted several contributions made by Dr. Tsar to the community, including the provision of potable water, employment opportunities, and other forms of assistance to groups and individual members of the Zeka community. He further appreciated his return to his roots and encouraged him to continue making a meaningful impact even when he is voted into office.

The consultation meeting was well attended by key stakeholders, including the entire traditional council of Mbakuha, led by the Tyoor Mbakuha, HRH Dominic Anchile Gogo. Also present were the heads of the Zeka family, Pa Verashe Ityu-Biam and Pa Anom Ijiwunde, alongside prominent political figures from Konshisha LGA including the Executive Chairman of Konshisha LGC, Hon Moses Terfa Chikyaa and his deputy. Other APC bigwigs who accompanied Dr. Tsar include Hon. Clement Adzuanongo, a former Chairman of Konshisha LGC, Hon. Theophilus Adzaagee, a former Benue State Head of Service, and Hon. Ayom Mar.

A major highlight of the event was the performance of the Tiv traditional rite of acceptance and blessing. The ritual, which involved the symbolic washing of Dr. Livinus Tsar’s feet and the anointing of his head with water from a sacred calabash, was conducted by the eldest members of the Zeka family, Pa Verashe Ityu-Biam and Pa Anom Ijiwunde, signifying their full endorsement of his ambition.

The event concluded with a brief reception at the residence of Prof. David Iornem, where Engr. Livinus Tsar and his entourage were treated to sumptuous local delicacies.
