2027: Benue deputy governor issues quit notice to political appointees

Benue State Deputy Governor, Dr Sam Ode, has asked all political appointees in the state interested in contesting elective positions in the 2027 general elections to submit a formal resignation letter to his office.

The Deputy Governor, in a statement he personally signed, indicates that a prompt response to resign for the purpose of contesting the 2027 election will be highly appreciated.

Resignation letters are expected no later than December 18.

“Political appointees interested in contesting for elective positions are kindly requested to indicate their interest and submit a formal resignation letter accordingly.

“All letters or expressions of interest for the office of your choice should be forwarded to the Office of the Deputy Governor of Benue State not later than Thursday, 18th December 2025,” part of the statement reads.
