The Francisca Ordega Foundation has invited female football teams interested in competitive football to register for the second edition of the Francisca Ordega Foundation Female Soccer Competition.

Although no date has been announced for the opener, Mr. Michael Iortim, Director of Programmes and Partnership at the Foundation, said the championship is “set to kick off in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State this month.”

“Participation is completely free of charge,” he said in a statement inviting Team Managers for a meeting ahead of the kick-off.

Nigeria’s international, Ordega, started the championship to promote female participation in sport, foster teamwork, and celebrate the incredible talent of female footballers.

“Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase your talent and compete with other teams. We look forward to your participation! Mr. Iortim said.
