CPC: Come immediately, rights lawyer urges President Trump

Date:

Benue-born rights lawyer, Terfa Jirgba, Esq, is beckoning on President Donald Trump to “come to Nigeria as soon as possible, as the situation is critical.”

Trump’s designation of Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern (CPC)” last Friday is generating a wide range of reactions regarding the propriety of the declaration.

Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has threatened that Nigeria will fight it out “if United States invades” the country.

Following the designation, President Trump went on to say in another post on Truth Social that: “If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.

“I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians! WARNING: THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT BETTER MOVE FAST!”

In urging Trump to make haste, Mr. Jirgba said, “The annihilation of Christians in this part of the world is imminent. The Nigerian government has not demonstrated the capacity to combat these terrorists effectively.

“Terrorist jihadists have taken over people’s farms, and there’s a plan to Islamize the country and force everyone to become Muslims.

“If you come to our country, please have your military arrest some government officials and investigate them. Freeze their bank accounts and deport their children who are schooling in the US.”
