Ortom’s former CPS, Akase, bags PhD in Political Science

Date:

Examiners at the Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University (formerly Benue State University), Makurdi, on Monday, October 13, recommended Terver Akase for the award of Doctor of Philosophy, following a viva voce by the former Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to former Governor Samuel Ortom.

The Konshisha-born journalist cum politician awed his examiners with his thesis on Nigeria’s Foreign Policy between 2015 and 2023.

By his viva voce, Akase is worthy of the conferment of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science by the Fr. Adasu University, Makurdi.

Dr Akase, a former Radio Nigeria journalist, served as CPS to former Governor Ortom between 2015 and 2021, when he resigned to contest the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship ticket for the 2023 general election.

He was later appointed as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity in 2022, having withdrawn from the contest for his boss’s preferred candidate, Mr Titus Uba.
