All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain from Ushongo Local Government Area (LGA), Benue State, Prof. Kohol Shadrach Iornem, has attributed mass defections to the party in the state to the achievements of Fr. Hyacinth Alia, Governor of Benue State, in “a short time.”
Prof. Iornem was in the state for the pre-decamping dinner and the APC expanded Caucus meeting.
He told TNT that before the coming into office of Fr. Alia, Benue State was on a treadmill of activity without productivity.
“The main reason for the mass defection is that they have seen hope for a better Benue due to Governor Alia’s human and infrastructural development strides.
“Alia has achieved so much in such a short time. Before now, Benue was on a treadmill of activity without productivity. Alia’s work speaks for itself.
“I’m not sure why it took them so long. I declared my support for the governor one year after he assumed office. I saw that he meant business!” Prof. Iornem stated.
