A thought leader and senior citizen, Engr. Isaac Iyorhen has tipped Prof. Kohol Shadrach Iornem, founder and Executive Director of Mzehemen U Tiv Foundation (MUTF) and Menroi, as the “unbeatable All Progressives Congress (APC) star candidate” for the 2027 Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency election.
Engr. Iyorhen, who shared his thoughts with TNT about the coming election, noted that Prof. Iornem “is all about a pedigree of excellence and proven capacity to change the tardy rumble for impressive dividends.”
Through MUTF and Menroi, with a demonstrable commitment to development issues, mentorship, and human capacity development, Prof. Iornem has endeared himself to many since joining the political turf in the buildup to the 2023 general election.
Engr. Iyorhen, who described the Ushongo-born as “a proud son of Benue whose journey reflects resilience, excellence, and vision,” explained that “from the classrooms of Nigeria to the global stage of academia, he has shown what is possible when determination meets opportunity.”
According to Engr. Iyorhen, what makes Prof. Iornem’s “story even more remarkable is his heart for service. Through the Menroi Rural Priority Foundation and the Mzehemen u Tiv Foundation, he has touched lives in Benue by supporting rural communities, orphans, and disadvantaged youth. As a former President of Mzough U Tiv UK (MUTUK), he worked tirelessly to unite Tiv sons and daughters in the diaspora, keeping culture and identity alive.”
Although popular opinion has ceded the Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency seat to the Ushongo Local Government Area (LGA), one of the two LGAs that comprise the constituency, Engr. Iyorhen said, “Wherever the political turn tilts, the best foot shall be taken.
“We shall never again allow mediocres of unsound credentials to continue dragging us below.”
He challenged those who think they are better qualified to step forward to see if they “measure anything close” to the pedigree of the MUTF founder, who is “aspiring to build political excellence in representative governance.”
