Former Consultant to Benue State Government on Projects Evaluation, Engr. Nath Apir has asserted that the Governor of Benue State, Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has sealed his second term deal with his “stellar performances” since coming to the office.
On May 29, 2023, Fr. Alia was sworn in as the sixth Executive Governor of Benue State. On May 29 this year, his party in the state, All Progressives Congress (APC), endorsed him as the sole candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Engr. Apir, who was on a voice call with TNT on Tuesday, September 2, said there have been massive changes since the governor came to power (on May 29, 2023). The changes, he said, are evident in the lighting of Makurdi, the state capital, renewal of urban streets, construction of underpasses in Makurdi and Gboko, and prompt payment of salaries and pensions.
According to Engr. Apir, Fr. Alia, is doing beautifully well by developing infrastructure, developing the state, and ensuring that the average Benue person is at the centre of his development agenda.”
He, therefore, urged the governor not to be distracted by those he referred to as “anti-development agents” and remain focused on delivering on his campaign promises.
