Gbadamosi Terkumaiwuese salutes benefactor, Prof. Kohol, Academy owner, after graduation

Winner of the Mzehemen U Tiv Foundation (MUTF) Woman of the Year Award and ex-corps member, Miss Gbadamosi Oluwatosin Gold a.k.a Terkumaiwuese, is full of gratitude to Prof. Kohol Iornem, Founder/Executive Director MUTF, for the cash prize of One Hundred Thousand Naira, describing it as “a game-changer” in her baking journey.

On June 12 this year, after her National assignment at Mbagwa Community Secondary School, Lessel, Ushongo Local Government Area (LGA), MUTF presented Miss Gbadamosi with the woman of the year award and One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000.00) cash prize, at a ceremony in Makurdi, the Benue State capital. Prof. Kohol Iornem, MUTF founder and Executive Director, said the award was in recognition of Oluwatosin’s “outstanding contributions to the Benue community as a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, as well as for her deep love and passion for Tiv culture.”

Speaking at her baking graduation on Friday, August 8, in Makurdi, Gbadamosi said the cash prize from MUTF was significant in helping her complete “baking assignments and invest in basic baking essential tools.”

She also expressed gratitude to Mrs. Seember Iyoryisa, owner of Kuality Cakes and Craft Academy Makurdi, for offering her the opportunity to learn baking and pastries and offering her accommodation.

“January 19th, 2025, will forever be a memorable day. My mummy, Seember Iyoryisa, reached out to me, inquiring about my service completion plans and what I intended to do afterwards.

“I shared my plans with her, and she responded with an incredible offer:

“If Jesus tarries, I’d like to offer you the opportunity to learn baking and pastries in my Academy, Kuality Cakes and Craft Academy, once you’re done with your service. Accommodation will be provided, so don’t worry about that,” Miss Gbadomosi narrated.

The MUTF Woman of the Year Award winner said she was “deeply grateful” for the opportunity.

“Your generosity has opened doors to new skills and possibilities, and I’m excited to explore the world of baking. Thank you for believing in me and investing in my passion! Miss Gbadamosi said.

Prof. Kohol was represented at the occasion by Comr Lutor Isaac Ayaaga.
