Anambra: Police hunt for killers of four family members

The police in Anambra State is “working on some clues to arrest” the killers of four members of a family in Isseke, Ihiala Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State, the command’s spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga has said.

According to SP Ikenga, “criminals unprovokedly attacked” the Ichie Kennedy Igboanugo family from Ekwuru Isseke (Ichie Akuruoulo 1 of Isseke), killing the four.

He further stated that the joint security team in the state has cordoned off the area for any untoward situation, adding that the bodies of the victims have been recovered and deposited at the mortuary while investigations continue.

It is learnt that the killers invaded the victims’ apartment while they were sleeping, killed them, and left their lifeless bodies on the floor of their rooms.

The reason for the attack is yet to be known.

In a post on her Facebook timeline, one Chelsea Mary wrote in reference to the killings that it was a Black Friday. “My Dad, my mum, my step mum, my sister, all gone.”
