Benue community to honour Anti-Police Brutality Coalition founder, one other Dec. 21

For his contributions to community development, Engr. Terver Atsar, founder of Anti-Police Brutality Coalition, is due for honours by the Mbakever community, Mbagwaza, Ushongo Local Government Area (LGA), Benue State, on Saturday, 21st December, 2024.

He will be honoured alongside Mrs. Liz Akpam Ahua, in an event tagged “celebration of Mbakever worthy children,” at RCM Primary School Ikpaikpam, Mbagwaza.

Engr. Atsar, a chemical engineer with nearly thirty years of post-graduation experience in the oil and gas industry, pays attention to small details and has demonstrated mastery at translating organisational goals into discrete activities necessary to attain such goals.

His community projects include Bethel City, a planned rural settlement in Mbakever, Mbagwaza district to facilitate infrastructural development, a motorised Borehole for water supply to Bethel City, an Olympic-sized badminton Court and has championed a Tree planting campaign to enhance the aesthetics of the City.

Engr. Asar is actively involved in the career mentorship programme for secondary school children and has given personal scholarships to support over 20 students in Ushongo and Gboko LGAs in higher institutions. His other community projects include street rehabilitation in Yandev, Gboko LGA, the upgrade of the pulpit floor of NKST Lessel with floor tiles, as well as the 500-seater capacity Church Building in Mbakever community.

In 2022, he lost the bid to win the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ticket for the Benue Governorship election. He has since returned to the oil and gas industry.

In the past, Engr. Atsar served as the General Manager of World Environmental Systems in Lagos. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Envirogreen Technical Support Limited, MIMAX Emergency Support Services Gboko, and MIMAX Restaurant Port Harcourt
