In order to expand the tentacles and gather more support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) in 2027, the Grassroot Support for Tinubu (GST) 2027 – The 1019 Initiative is born.
The Initiative has thrown up ambitious welfarist programmes and projects in Nigeria, aimed at complementing the “Renewed Hope” agenda of Mr. President.
Initiated by Mr. Tersoo David Ukechir, employer of labour and philanthropist, and powered by Dark Matter, GST 2027 – The 1019 Initiative has been moving from state to state within Nigeria, with projects and programmes that have a direct impact on the people in need – rural dwellers, women, children, and students.
The initiator is moved by PBAT’s humane disposition to restore the people’s confidence in government and the president’s welfarist approach to governance, which targets better lives for Nigerians.
As a philanthropist and programme manager, Mr David Kundam Hon Higi says Mr Ukechir is attracted by the PBAT’s initiatives that tend to give more to commoners, people who can barely afford their basic needs.
The thematic areas of this initiative are focused on good health, water, free transportation, and scholarships, among other interventions.
From day one, when implementation began on the Plateau to date, down to Benue and Nasawara States, thousands of surgeries have been conducted, eyeglasses issued, and drugs administered as required while beneficiaries beam with smiles for getting help for their medical needs at no cost of theirs.
In each state visited, the team takes 18 days (six days in each senatorial district) to attend to cases that may be presented.
Additionally, the GST 2027 -1019 Initiative has provided no fewer than 70 solar-powered boreholes in Plateau, Osun, Ogun, Delta, Benue, and Nasarawa states. Water is essential for life and sanitation. GST 2027 – 1019’s gesture of ensuring access to water underscores the value Mr. Ukechir attaches to human life and dignity.
So that everyone is carried along, buses are provided in major cities to connect those wishing to travel to Nigeria’s seat of power for various engagements. You don’t have to pay. All you need to do is to keep to the departure time, and you will enjoy the genuine support of someone who appreciates good governance.
That is not all. There is a scholarship for no fewer than 300 students pursuing a university education. That is investing in the future. And because it is said that whatever society wants, society puts it in the school, supporting young Nigerians pursuing education is a worthy course that presupposes a commitment to a bright future for Nigeria and Nigerians.
GST 2027—The 1019 Initiative is also contributing to evangelisation and support for socio-cultural groups and private individuals in many other interventions that make life more meaningful.
It is awe-inspiring to think that these and more are made possible from the initiator’s personal resources. It has become common knowledge that nothing goes for nothing. Yet, at the same time, this young Nigerian is giving his all because he wants his mentor to succeed and give back to the society that has made him.
In doing this, there are no political considerations; it is the decision to identify with a good cause, render support, play one’s part and see people in need beaming with smiles.
This is Renewed Hope. This is Mr. Ukechir’s support for a good course.
Conclusively, Mr. Tersoo David Ukechir’s Grassroot Support for Tinubu (GST) 2027—The 1019 Initiative brings good health, water, free transportation, and scholarships to the table.
