The Commissioner of Police (CP), Benue State Command, CP Emenari Ifeanyi Innocent, PhD, has warned against welcoming him with “crime.”
CP Emenari was reacting to Sunday killings at Akpehe when he issued the note of warning.
The CP took over command last Saturday and the following day, Sunday, the confrontation at Akpehe, within the radius of the state capital, leading to at least four deaths.
CSP Swuese Anene, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) who conveyed the CP’s note of warning, adds that the investigation into the crime is ongoing.
Other victims of the crime are currently receiving treatment.
