The Livitsar Support Group for Alia/Tinubu Re-election Mandate 2027 has fired back at former Benue State APC Chairman, Austin Agada, describing his recent television appearance attacking the group’s convener, Chief Livinus Tsar, as “despicable” and politically motivated.
In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Hon. Jacob Agede, on Thursday, the group accused Agada of engaging in name-calling and what it described as fabricated allegations against Chief Tsar, whom it portrayed as a committed supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) and Fr. Hyacinth Alia, Governor of Benue State.
The group said Chief Tsar established the support organisation with the objective of mobilising one million votes in Benue for Tinubu and Alia in the 2027 elections, adding that he remained a trusted ally of the governor and a major contributor to rural development.
According to the statement, Chief Tsar’s interventions include the construction of solar-powered boreholes, provision of food items and cash assistance, empowerment programmes and infrastructure projects across communities. It specifically cited the Ikyobo–Waa–Nyinya–Mhambe–Konshisha road project as part of his development efforts.
The group also highlighted Chief Tsar’s humanitarian activities, including support for women, youths, elderly persons and traditional institutions, describing him as a philanthropist whose interventions had impacted communities across the state.
It further stated that Chief Tsar was conferred with an honorary doctorate in Leadership and Governance by the American University of Peace and Governance on September 26, 2025, at the House of Lords, British Parliament, for his contributions to humanitarian and community development.
The group challenged Agada and his alleged sponsors to place their records of public and private service side by side with Tsar’s, insisting that “pedigree and capacity” would ultimately speak louder than what it called political attacks.
It urged the former APC chairman to desist from what it described as “undue name-calling and insults,” warning that such attacks would not diminish Chief Tsar’s support for the Tinubu-Alia 2027 mandate.
