Alia, who confirmed this in a post on his verified Facebook account, indicates that his participation in the process is “about our collective resolve to continue rebuilding Benue State, strengthening our economy, restoring confidence in governance, and consolidating the gains we have made together.”
The governor said he remains “deeply humbled by the overwhelming support and solidarity from the good people of Benue State, particularly the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Benue Chapter, and the Benue State Motorcycle Association (BEMOA), which purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms” on his behalf.
He expressed gratitude to the leadership of APC under the chairmanship of Prof. “Yilwatda, and the members of the National Working Committee (NWC) for a thorough and successful screening process, which affirmed that we have met all the requirements to fly the flag of our great party once again.”
