TNT can report that Deacon Emmanuel Tor Yaji, the President General (PG) of Kunav United Development Association (KUDA), has regained freedom.
A source close to the KUDA PG confides in TNT that he was rescued in Kwande Local Government Area (LGA).
The Benue State Command, Nigeria Police, had earlier solicited the public’s cooperation with “useful information” to rescue the KUDA PG.
KUDA is the umbrella body of the people of Kunav, in Vandeikya Local Government Area (LGA), Governor Hyacinth Alia’s home LGA.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benue State Command, Sewuese Anene, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), says in a statement to journalists in Makurdi that the KUDA PG was reportedly kidnapped at Tsar Mbaduku, “where he sat relaxing with his friends.”
“Swiftly police detectives were deployed for his rescue, and investigation is ongoing,” the statement by CSP Anene adds.
Apart from community service, Deacon Yaji is the Managing Director of El Yaji (Nig) Ltd and is also into estate development and the hospitality business.
