Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi is travelling to Jos, the Plateau State capital, for the Match Day 12 encounter with Mighty Jets FC in the Nigeria National League (NNL) on Saturday, March 14.
The Makurdi side is third in the eight-team table, one point behind second-placed FC Basira. Doma United FC is at the top of the table.
Lobi Stars FC triumphed over ABS FC 2:0 in their last game played at the McCarthy Stadium in Makurdi.
Director of Media, Mr Uja Emmanuel, told TNT that the head coach, John Onuh and his players are now focused on the game at hand and are not dwelling on last week’s success.
TNT understands that there are no injury concerns in the camp, and Coach Onuh will present a crack squad comprising last match’s standout performer, Peter Onah, alongside rock-solid left full-back, Monday Akile, fleet-footed Suur Kumaga, experienced half-back Solomon Kwambe, in a pair with Francis Odinaka, and Daniel Atsaka in goal. At the same time, Benjamin Agugu and Dominic Foga will be upfront to finish.
“With confidence building among the players, the squad heads into the fixture determined to compete strongly and return home with a result worthy of their efforts,” a statement from the club Media Team says.
Mighty Jets FC sits at the bottom of the table with 13 points from 11 matches.
