Kwande/Ushongo hopeful, Prof. Iornem commends Fr. Alia on war against insecurity

Date:

The 2027 Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency hopeful, Prof. Kohol Iornem, has commended the Governor of Benue State, Fr. Hyacinth Alia, for declaring war against insecurity in the state.

Fr. Alia had, on Monday, March 9, after receiving a briefing on the successful deployment and reinforcement of security personnel to troubled areas in Kwande and other affected Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state, vowed to crush insecurity and restore lasting peace.

Prof. Iornem, in a statement issued by the Prof. Kohol Iornem Media and Communications Directorate, said the governor’s determination to hunt down terrorists and bandits and bring to justice elements destroying peace in the state is a step in the right direction.

The statement said doing so would offer the people of the state and their farms protection while paving the way for lasting peace.

He, therefore, urged the people of the state, irrespective of their political inclinations, to stand united with the governor during these troubling times
