APC commences training for e-registration in Benue

Date:

The Benue State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced training for its e-registration exercise. The training was held in the conference hall of the APC Benue State Secretariat in Makurdi, the state capital.

Last year, the ruling APC launched a nationwide digital membership project. APC National Chairman, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda, recently said the party is committed to fully implementing the e-registration project.

The training was facilitated by Mr. Angula Bishop Reuben (Zone A Coordinator), Mr. Reuben Lubem Nyinya (Zone B Coordinator) and Mr. Marko Ochoga Attah (Zone C Coordinator), who joined the State Coordinator of the exercise, Mr. James Ornguga, in taking participants through the technical processes of the e-registration platform.

Benue State Chairman of the APC, Chief Benjamin Omale, said the electronic register would strengthen the party’s internal structures and improve the party’s electoral readiness.

He therefore commended Fr. Hyacinth Alia, Governor of Benue State, for providing logistical support for the e-registration training exercise.

According to Mr. Ornguga, the digitalisation of APC membership records is vital to strengthening its foundation and enhancing operational efficiency.

“The party is on a strategic mission to count its votes before the election by digitally documenting every single member,” Ornguga said while urging senatorial administrators, local government supervisors, ward registration agents and other stakeholders to demonstrate diligence throughout the exercise.

Meanwhile, the APC leadership in the state has urged Local Government Supervisors and Ward Registration Agents to intensify efforts and embrace additional refresher training sessions, which are necessary to meet the party’s ultimatum to conclude all training in the second week of December.
